Architecture Courses in Dubai

Designers Collective Institute (DCI) teaches architecture courses in Dubai at its campus in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT). Courses are KHDA-accredited and cover architectural design, model making, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and portfolio preparation, from 18 hours to a 126-hour program.

These are short courses and portfolio preparation for students, school leavers and career changers. They are not a university degree in architecture, but they can help you prepare for one.

Architecture Design

Develops your creativity and teaches you to draw your ideas and turn concepts into clear architectural sketches. Available in three lengths: 18 hours, 36 hours or 40 hours.

Programs

Architecture Design Training Program (60 hours) – architectural history, design principles and sustainable practices, with AutoCAD and SketchUp.
Architecture Design Program (126 hours) – the comprehensive program: history of architecture, design principles, sketching, drafting, physical models and digital tools.
Architectural Model Maker (30 hours) – building architectural models by hand to explore space and present design ideas.

SketchUp for Architecture (20 hours) – scaled floor plans and 3D building models.
AutoCAD and SketchUp for Architecture Program (80 hours) – 2D drawings in AutoCAD, then 3D models in SketchUp.
Revit Basics (20 hours) and Revit for Architecture Program (40 hours) – Building Information Modelling (BIM): floor plans, 3D models, sections and elevations.
3ds Max Basics (20 hours) – 3D modelling, materials, lighting and rendering.
Architecture Design Blender (20 hours) – 3D architectural models, materials and rendered scenes in Blender.

Architecture Design for Kids, age 8 to 10 (16 hours)
Kids Architecture Modelling, age 8 to 10 (16 hours)

Teens explore architectural principles and space planning and develop their own designs. No previous experience is needed.

Architecture portfolio preparation

For students applying to architecture schools. You develop a portfolio while learning architectural drawing, perspective, materials, colour, concept development and the presentation methods used in portfolio applications.

Portfolio for Architecture Design: 24 hours, 40 hours or 80 hours.
Portfolio Intensive: Architecture (40 hours) – three days a week.
Portfolio for Architecture Design for Teens, age 11 to 13 (18 hours)

No. The beginner courses start from the basics. If you already have some experience, tell us and we will suggest the right level.
