How Much Does an Interior Design Course Cost in Dubai?
An interior design course in Dubai costs from about AED 1,300 for a short kids’ class to more than AED 80,000 a year for a university degree. What you pay depends mostly on the type of course: a short practical course, a professional diploma, or a degree. This guide explains the three options, gives the fees at Designers Collective Institute (DCI) in JLT, and lists the questions to ask before you enrol.

What affects the price
- Hours of teaching. The biggest factor. Compare the fee per hour, not just the total.
- Group size. Smaller groups mean more feedback on your own work.
- Software included. AutoCAD, SketchUp or 3D rendering add skills employers ask for, and usually add hours.
- Materials. Ask whether drawing materials and printing are included.
- Licence. In Dubai, training institutes must hold a KHDA permit. Check the institute in the KHDA training directory before you pay.
Which option is right for you?
- You want to try interior design or redo your own home: an 18-hour beginner or styling course.
- You want to work in the field or start freelancing: a 60- to 126-hour program plus AutoCAD and SketchUp, and a portfolio of real projects.
- You are a teenager applying to design school: a teens course followed by a portfolio course.
- You want a degree: a university bachelor’s program. A short course is still useful before you apply, to build your portfolio.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a short interior design course in Dubai?
At DCI, an 18-hour beginner or short course costs AED 2,530. Longer programs range from AED 8,000 for 40 hours to AED 18,900 for 126 hours.
Can I start short and add hours later?
Several courses come in more than one length, so you can start with the shortest option. Ask us about moving up to a longer option and about payment when you enrol.
Is an interior design course in Dubai worth it without a degree?
Yes, for many roles. Design studios, furniture showrooms, fit-out companies and freelance clients look at your portfolio and your software skills. A practical course gives you both. Some employers and roles do ask for a degree, so check the job descriptions you are aiming for.
Do I get a certificate?
