- 3) Fabric Knowledge & Selection
- * Types of fabrics used in abayas/jalabiyas (e.g., crepe, chiffon)
- * How drape and weight affect design
- * Fabric sourcing basics
- 4) Pattern Making & Cutting
- * Taking accurate body measurements
- * Creating basic patterns
- * Draping and adjustments for different styles
- 5) Sewing & Construction
- * Sewing machine basics
- * Assembly steps (cutting → stitching → finishing)
- * Seams, hems, closures, sleeve attachment
- * Final fitting & quality checks
- 6) Production Basics & Business Intro
- * Mini production workflow
- * Working with tailors/manufacturers
- * Costing, pricing, and simple marketing plans
7) CLO 3D Basics Pattern Making

- Total: 35 hours enough for a solid foundation and some hands-on practice.
- Sewing machines are provided in class
- ✔ Studio tools are generally available
- ✔ CLO3D software is included
- ✔ Instructor support + class setup included
- BUT:
- ❌ Fabric is usually NOT fully included for all projects
- ❌ Personal materials (fabric choices for your abaya designs) may still be purchased by you
