From Learning to Creating
The program is designed to take students through a natural progression:
Learn → Practise → Develop → Construct → Create → Present
Students begin by learning the fundamentals, then gradually develop the technical ability to create their own garments and fashion projects.
As students progress, they can begin developing original pieces that demonstrate their understanding of:
Pattern Making • Sewing • Garment Construction • Fitting • Fabric Selection • Finishing • Design Development
For students interested in fashion design, further studies, or building a personal fashion portfolio, advanced stages can be dedicated to developing individual projects.
Students can work toward creating a selection of finished garments and fashion pieces that demonstrate their technical and creative development.
Portfolio projects may include:
▫️Original garment concepts
▫️Developed patterns
▫️Fabric and material selection
▫️Fittings and adjustments
▫️Garment details and construction techniques
▫️Final presentation of completed pieces
The portfolio becomes a visual record of the student’s progress, technical skills, creativity, and ability to develop a garment from concept to completion.
