Our Online Photography Course for Kids & Teens is a practical, creative program designed to help young photographers develop real photography skills while having fun and experimenting with their own ideas.
Students will learn how to use a camera, understand light and composition, take portraits, create creative photographs, edit their images, and develop their own mini photography portfolio.
The course combines live instruction, practical activities, photography challenges, and individual creative projects so students can put what they learn into practice.

The course is suitable for beginners and students with some previous photography experience.
What Students Will Learn:
1. Photography Foundations
Learn what makes a photograph interesting and how photographers use images to communicate ideas and stories.
2. Understanding Your Camera
Learn the essential functions of a camera, including focus, exposure, shutter speed, aperture and ISO, in an age-appropriate and practical way.
3. Composition & Creativity
Discover how to create stronger photographs using:
* Rule of thirds
* Framing
* Leading lines
* Symmetry and patterns
* Perspective and different angles
* Backgrounds and visual balance
Learn how to find and use good light, both indoors and outdoors. Students will experiment with natural light, shadows, silhouettes and creative lighting techniques.
Learn how to photograph people with confidence, including posing, expressions, backgrounds, composition and using light to create more interesting portraits.
6. Creative Photography Challenges
Students will complete fun practical challenges using everyday objects, their home environment and the world around them. They will learn how to turn ordinary subjects into creative photographs.
7. Editing & Digital Photography
Learn the basics of selecting and improving photographs, including cropping, straightening, brightness, contrast and color adjustments.
8. Final Photography Project
Each student will plan and complete their own mini photography project, select their strongest images and create a small digital portfolio to present at the end of the course.
By the End of the Course, Students Will Be Able To

📷 Equipment Requirements
Students should have access to a camera at home so they can participate in the practical activities.
Recommended: DSLR or mirrorless camera
Also suitable: Digital compact camera
Beginner option: Smartphone or tablet camera
Students using a DSLR or mirrorless camera will have the opportunity to explore more advanced camera controls, while students using a smartphone or compact camera can still participate fully in the creative and composition activities.
More Than Just Taking Pictures
Photography is a powerful way for young people to develop creativity, observation, confidence and visual storytelling skills.
Throughout the course, students are encouraged to experiment, make creative choices and develop their own photographic style.
Rather than simply learning camera settings, students learn how to see like a photographer.
Final Student Project

Every student will complete a personal photography project and create a selection of their best photographs.
At the end of the course, students will have a mini digital photography portfolio showcasing what they have learned and created.
