- Overview of Illustrator interface and basic tools
- Creating artboards and setting up portfolio dimensions
- Inspiration board: Exploring design styles and layouts
Lesson 2: Typography & Layout Design
- Choosing fonts and creating clean titles/subheadings
- Using alignment, grids, and white space effectively
- Designing a custom name/logo for your personal brand
Lesson 3: Creating Graphic Elements
- Drawing basic shapes and icons
- Designing custom vector graphics for your projects
- Applying colors, gradients, and swatches
Lesson 4: Project Page Creation
- Importing and organizing work into layouts
- Labeling artwork with project titles and descriptions
- Using clipping masks, frames, and creative backgrounds

Our portfolio courses are offered in flexible hour packages 40, 50, 60, 80, or even 100+ hours to allow students to progress at their own pace. It’s important to understand that these hour packages are a guideline. Completing a high quality portfolio may sometimes take more longer than the initial 40 hours, and students are welcome to book additional sessions such as 50, 60, 80, or more hours if needed.
This way, each student can take the time they need to create a portfolio they’re truly proud of without feeling rushed.
