Course Description:

The course includes learning to draw the figures and garments. The students would learn simple methods of the techniques and theories of garment design and construction. Valuable knowledge is imparted through short lectures and exercises in every class. Course Objectives: By the end of the program, students will be able to: Understand the history and evolution of fashion design. Create detailed fashion illustrations. Understand and apply textile knowledge in design.  Course Outline:

• Introduction to fashion illustration and female fashion figure
• Using simple geometric forms to create body portions and proportions
• Capturing different positions, fashion poses and movements for female figure
• Mapping out dress shapes and garment position
• Basics of garment types and textures
