2. Sketching Fundamentals (6 Hours)
* Body proportions: 9-head fashion figure
* Poses, movement, and garment fit
* Silhouette exploration: A-line, straight, oversized, etc.
✓ 5–10 figure sketches
✓ Notes on style lines, necklines, sleeves, and garment details
✓ Pencil and marker techniques: shading, texture, highlights
3. Draft Drawings & Technical Flats (4 Hours)
* Translating a sketch into a technical outline
* Front + back view
* Seam placements, darts, closures
✓ 3–5 outfits with flats included
✓ Fabric and detail callouts
✓ Small annotations explaining construction ideas
4. Mood Board Development (4 Hours)
* Theme selection (season, concept, muse)
* Color palette building
* Inspiration sourcing: magazines, digital images, textiles
✓ 2–3 fully developed mood boards
✓ Keywords describing the vibe and target audience
✓ Palette with fabric swatches or print ideas
5. Fabric Knowledge & Application (4 Hours)
* Types of fabrics: woven, knit, stretch, specialty
* What works best for different garments
* How to consider drape, weight, and purpose
✓ Fabric samples or printed texture images
✓ Notes on usage:
“Chiffon: flowy eveningwear”
“Denim: structured casualwear”
✓ Matching fabric choices to your designs
6. Mini Collection Presentation
* 3-6 outfits that express your theme
* Include: sketch, flats, fabrics, mood board connections
* Short explanation of your inspiration and design story
* What skills did you improve most?
* What design challenges did you overcome?
* Future goals in fashion design

Please note:
Our portfolio courses are offered in flexible hour packages 40, 50, 60, 80, or even 100+ hours to allow students to progress at their own pace. It’s important to understand that these hour packages are a guideline. Completing a high quality portfolio may sometimes take more longer than the initial 40 hours, and students are welcome to book additional sessions such as 50, 60, 80, or more hours if needed.
This way, each student can take the time they need to create a portfolio they’re truly proud of without feeling rushed.
