Course Description:
The AutoCAD & SketchUp course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of computer-aided design and 3D modeling used in architecture. In this course, students learn how to create 2D drawings using AutoCAD and transform them into 3D models using SketchUp.

Part 1 — AutoCAD 

Module 1 — Introduction to AutoCAD Design

• Interface overview
• Basic navigation and settings
• Units and workspace setup

Module 2 — AutoCAD Basic Drawing Tools

• Line, circle, rectangle, arc
• Move, copy, rotate, scale
• Trim, extend, offset, mirror

Module 3 — AutoCAD Layers & Annotation

• Creating and managing layers
• Colors, line types, properties
• Dimensions and text
• Simple drafting standards

Module 4 — AutoCAD Floor Plan Drawing

• Drawing walls using offset
• Creating doors and windows
• Basic furniture layout
• Simple house / room plan

Part 2 — SketchUp 

Module 5 — Introduction to SketchUp

• Interface and navigation
• Basic drawing tools
• Push / Pull tool
• Groups and components

Module 6 — SketchUp 3D Modeling

• Creating walls from plan
• Doors and windows
• Materials and textures
• Simple furniture modeling

Module 7 — Modeling

• Creating floors and ceilings
• Adding furniture
• Applying colors and materials

Module 8 — AutoCAD to SketchUp Workflow

• Export AutoCAD drawing
• Import into SketchUp
• Build 3D model from 2D plan

Module 9 — Final Project
