COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of jewelry design, blending creativity with craftsmanship. Students will learn how to conceptualize, design, and create their own jewelry pieces using a variety of materials and techniques. The course will cover essential skills such as drawing jewelry designs, understanding color and form, selecting materials, and working with basic tools. By the end of the course, students will have developed a strong foundation in jewelry design and be able to create their own pieces that reflect their personal style.

  COURSE OUTLINE: Module 1: Introduction to Jewelry Design

• Overview of jewelry design history and evolution
• Exploring different jewelry styles and trends
• Understanding the role of jewelry in culture and self-expression

Module 2: Elements of Design

• Principles of design: balance, proportion, contrast, rhythm, and unity
• Introduction to design sketches and technical drawings
